Participation Privacy & Confidentiality
This document explains how participation-related information, representative communications, CloudFeed activity and private ecosystem information should be handled.

1. Purpose
EcoTech Africa encourages open participation while also respecting information that may be private, sensitive, strategic or not intended for public display.
2. Public vs Private Participation
Some participation is public, such as published stories, public Business Profiles, comments and public opportunity notices.
Other participation may be private, such as CloudFeed applications, representative discussions, internal country planning, onboarding information and training communications.
3. CloudFeed Confidentiality
CloudFeed may include opportunities, applications, expressions of interest, private messages, collaboration proposals or business leads.
Participants should not copy, forward, publish or misuse private CloudFeed information unless they have permission from the relevant party.
4. Representative Communications
Country Representatives may receive information relating to country participation, training, business leads, ecosystem strategy or future country development.
Representatives are expected to treat non-public information responsibly and to use it only for EcoTech participation purposes.
5. Business and Member Information
Business Profiles may contain public information, but private messages, payment information, applications, internal notes or onboarding information should be treated confidentially.
6. Country Email Addresses
Country representative email addresses are EcoTech Africa assets. Representatives using such addresses must handle communications professionally and may not use them for unrelated, misleading, unlawful or harmful purposes.
7. Information Sharing
Participants should only share private ecosystem information where it is necessary for participation, collaboration, opportunity development, administration or legal compliance.
8. Withdrawal or Inactive Participation
If a participant or representative withdraws, becomes inactive or loses participation status, they remain responsible for protecting any private information received during participation.
9. Breach of Confidentiality
EcoTech Africa may suspend, remove or restrict participation privileges where private ecosystem information is misused, leaked, copied, misrepresented or used against the purpose of the platform.
